Marseille is a strategic and beautiful location for yacht refits. Opened in March 2018, Monaco Marine Marseille can accommodate any length of yacht for quay-side works with dedicated project teams. Don't hesitate to book for a last-minute refit!
Open since March 2018, Monaco Marine Marseille can accommodate up to 4 yachts of any size for quay-side works, thanks to its 320-meter quay, allowing drafts up to 10 meters. With a 3500 sqm area aside the berth for storage, works, etc.., the shipyard offers facilities to complete interior refit projects or fast-turnaround technical works and maintenance operations. Located in the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille (GPMM), the shipyard benefits from all its industrial facilities: the berth is ISPS certified, the yard is fitted with 1 600 amps / 400 volts shore power and it allows huge workshop and storing surfaces, is easily accessible for large trucks, and we are able to work with all of the same subcontractors as in La Ciotat. In addition, all types of sludge and garbage can be processed with Marpol certificates. In 2018, a 81m Feadship, a 91m Noerion yacht and around 20 other yachts came in to Monaco Marine Marseille.
“We don't have any “small projects” here, we have a special project team for each yacht, says Cyprien Milhe, Marseille shipyard manager. Even if the shipyard is full next Spring, we will be able to accommodate some yachts in June and during the whole summer, for last minute works”. The shipyard works in collaboration with La Ciotat and benefits from being part of a network of eight shipyards in the Monaco Marine Group, that allows project management work practices to be shared across the sites.
In 2023, Monaco Marine Marseille will be fitted with a 6000t synchrolift to accommodate yachts up to 135 meters long and facilities permitting the best possible quality.
Located in Provence, close to the French Riviera, Marseille Provence International Airport and train stations, the shipyard is a few minutes from the Terrasses du Port (luxury commercial centre) and downtown. Marseille is a beautiful place, a big city in deep evolution and has been named by the New York Times in the top 40 best places to visit in 2019. It is now the 2nd biggest cruise port in the Mediterranean Sea. It is most definitely a smart, strategic location for yacht refits.
