A team that takes care of the crew
Monaco Marine shipyards pride themselves in taking care of the yacht crews. As well as the specially dedicated on-site facilities, the surrounding countryside can be looked upon as one great playground where crew can choose to do any number of activities to keep fit and enjoy themselves such as:
- Personal training
- Yoga classes
- Bike excursions
- Paintball and go-karting events
- Themed party evenings
- Visits to football and rugby matches with two international stadiums only half an hour away
- Cultural excursions
- Ski weekends
Plus kite surfing, paddle board, running, climbing, hiking, mountain biking and much more...
We also like to showcase French food and wine and we offer wine tasting courses on site at the shipyards as well as visits to wine estates and cellars.
Our teams are there to help the crew in whatever way they can. We also provide a ‘one step beyond’ concierge service dedicated to assisting them with their requests.
Valérie Dufour is always available to advise and steer you in the right direction. Don’t hesitate to contact her for anything at all: vdufour@monacomarine.com
Yacht crews can often spend several months at the shipyards. So Monaco Marine supplies WIFI access at all its sites and has arranged dedicated crew areas for crew to use during their stay. At La Ciotat, La Seyne-Toulon and Marseilles the shipyards also have a fitness gym, lounge areas, games rooms, terraces and barbecues.
Exploring the Côte d’Azur, a region full of wonder and easily accessed
The Monaco Marine shipyards are spread across the Côte d'Azur and Provence. These sun-blessed regions that evoke a sense of glamour and easy-living offer thousands of opportunities for tours and visits.
Served by the international airports of Nice and Marseille and with well-developed road and rail infrastructures, Provence and the Côte d'Azur are the ideal areas for refits but also for living or travelling.
Gastronomy-wise there are no less than five three star restaurants and hundreds of others that celebrate French and International cuisine. These regions are also known for their wines: Cassis, Bandol, Coteaux d’Aix... Head off and discover them! And what’s more, the reputation for Côte d'Azur nightlife is renowned the world over; Antibes, the French yachting capital, Cannes, Nice, Monaco... the ideal places to really enjoy it.
The Carmargue to the west is a magnificent natural park and ideal to explore on horseback. The Alps to the north are the capital of mountain sports; skiing, mountain biking, paragliding.. These regions are also rich with places of interest and heritage, for example: the MUCEM (Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations) in Marseille, the Picasso museum in Antibes or the Villa Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. It’s not by accident that some of the greatest artists chose this as the area in call home!
